3D dental scanner – Hyperion X9 Pro is installed in the Center for Imaging Diagnostics MLADOST. The device combines a perfect image with extremely fast action and minimal beam load. In addition, the scanner has the largest scanning range in Northeastern Bulgaria – 10 cm x 13 cm. This allows it to capture details that in other machines remain “cut” outside the work area, especially when fully scanning both jaws.
The scan shows the condition of the bone, which is the starting point for implants. More generally, a full jaw scan shows the overall picture of oral health – contact points, tooth wear, gingivitis, bite type, improper growth, etc. 3D images also give a complete picture of the orientation of the teeth and their roots in space. This is essential for effective and rapid root canal treatment. The storage of 3D tests in the patient’s health file allows very accurate monitoring of degenerative processes and the success of the preventive measures taken over time.
