More generally, a full jaw scan shows the overall picture of oral health – contact points, tooth wear, gingivitis, bite type, improper growth, etc. 3D images also give a complete picture of the orientation of the teeth and their roots in space. This is essential for effective and rapid root canal treatment. The storage of 3D tests in the patient’s health file allows very accurate monitoring of degenerative processes and the success of the preventive measures taken over time.
