SOMATOM go.Now has been installed in the Center for Imaging Diagnostics MLADOST. He is a representative of the latest generation of CT scanners of the world leader in medical equipment – Siemens.
Devices from the SOMATOM go series. own some of the largest hospitals in the country, but Varna is only the third city in Bulgaria to have such a device in pre-hospital care.
SOMATOM go.Now uses artificial intelligence in the selection of research modes. Autonomous algorithms take into account the personal anthropology of each patient and eliminate the risk of setting the wrong parameters, which could worsen the quality of research.
The device achieves twice lower radiationlevels than the previous generation of devices, while maintaining the high resolution of the three-dimensional image. This is achieved through innovative filtering, which stops unnecessary low-energy spectrum and skips only the one involved in image generation.
SOMATOM go.Now applies special technology to reduce glare from implants, artificial joints and pacemakers.
The device is equipped withdual-energy research technology, which opens a whole new page in the diagnostic capabilities of computed tomography. Thanks to these regimens, it is possible to qualitatively and quantitatively study specific deposits in the body, which are associated with some of the most common and painful chronic diseases. The scanner is the only one in Northeastern Bulgaria that allows to study:
kidney stones – determining the qualitative composition, diameter and hardness
